Danger points

A component can have one or more danger points. A danger point is a specific location within your product where one or more hazards for the user exist. It is important to evaluate these danger points in a risk assessment and to take appropriate measures to minimize them. In this view, you can define the specific danger points that are associated with the selected component.

danger point with multiple components

The reason why a danger point can belong to multiple components is that danger points often occur at the transitions between multiple components. For example, it is not possible to get crushed by a housing or a flap, but rather at the transition between the housing and the flap.
