Different Project types
There are different project types for different areas of application, each of which must meet specific requirements. Diversification into different project types makes it possible to meet the specific requirements of the respective areas of application (basic directive, e.g. Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, etc.). The division into different project types thus offers the opportunity to address the specific requirements in a targeted manner and to effectively design the implementation of projects in different areas of application. The project types are examined in more detail in the following subsections.
Project type | Description |
---|---|
Electrical equipment (EU) | This type is selected for a product that is marketed in Europe and falls under the scope of the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU). |
Machinery (EU) | This type is selected for a new product that is marketed on the European market and falls under the scope of the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC). |
Machinery international | This type is selected for a new product that is marketed outside of Europe. |
Testing for significant changes to machinery (EU) | This project type is used to determine whether significant changes have been made to a machine in accordance with the Machinery Directive. |
Safety assessment | This type is used for safety assessments and proposed solutions for machinery. |
